The original two room cabin was built sometime around the year of 1750. It is said to be the oldest house still standing west of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Throughout the years, many additions have been added to the home. Since the purchase in 1997, the home has been completely restored with new plumbing and electric. The interior cabin logs have been exposed and the fire place has been opened. A large viewing room has been added to the facility and the home has been made handicap assessable. Vintage style furniture adds a feeling of comfort with a touch of elegance. The home has been designed to make families comfortable and at ease during a very difficult time.
